Q. Does IRI automatically agree to participate in a new product development program with the client? |
A. Only if it is satisfied that the product to be created has a realistic chance to perform as specified by the client, to be manufactured effectively, to meet safety and cost targets and to be accepted by the public in a competitive marketplace. IRI also must be confident that the program will be supported by the client's top management and that, if successful, it will be adequately funded through product introduction.
