"Now, my suspicion is that the universe is not only queerer than we suppose, but queerer than we can suppose; I suspect that there are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamed of, in any philosophy"
- J.B.S. Haldane
Q: I may be interested in obtaining a patent on my concept. How can I tell whether my concept is new or whether it already exists?
A: One can never be certain that it's new. However, IR can perform patent and literature searches to answer the question of whether it already exists with some certainty. This does not involve much cost and reduces the financial risk of investing in patents and model-making.
